This is my princess Molly. We’ve had her for about 8 years now.
Me and Stephen hadn’t been together too long when we decided to get a puppy.
I already had 3 cats living with my Mum but due to living so close to her i didn’t think it was fair to uproot them as they probably would have found their way back to hers. Plus at the time we were living on a main road and it seemed dangerous.
We looked around and finally decided that a Jack Russell was the size and breed of dog we wanted: short haired, small, plenty of character…
Stephen had a love for them from his Grandad, I was just excited at the prospect of getting a puppy!
We picked up the AdMag from Tesco for a couple of weeks and then we saw it, “Jack Russell puppies for sale – Sheffield”. Gave the number a call and went to visit.
Sadly dad didn’t live with the family but mum did but she’d run off the day before we arrived. Whether this was true or not there was a littler of about 7 tiny bundles of joy running around in a pen in this kitchen. All were very similar colouring and markings. There was even a runt, who by the way was the cutest thing. I couldn’t shake off wanting this bitch who had slightly lighter brown markings.
She had this love-heart shape around her eyes that drew my attention straight away.
That was is. She was the one. Expecting to be going back another day to get her, if we had picked one, we hadn’t got anything at home for her but the people said we could take her there and then as she was old enough. We were so excited, went a got the £70, drove straight back to the house and exchanged.
The little thing was terrified but we made an emergency stop to Tesco and stock-pilled all the puppy things we could find. Took her home and started her life with us and more importantly the cuddles.
