An Introduction to Jackie-Boy

We’ve had Jack for about 5 years now.

We re-homed him from a girl I worked with. She claimed that she’d got a puppy but was struggling to cope with him, their other dogs and children.

Once she showed my his photo, I knew we had to have him. He was this tiny Jack Russell puppy with the facial colouring of a Rottweiler.

We’d already got Molly at this point. We’d been to Berlin and back and we felt getting a second dog was a kind option for her to have company when we weren’t around. We didn’t realise at this point how much of a character he’d become.

I convinced Stephen for us to get him. We paid about £50 if I remember right. He was brought to ours with couple of tins of adult dog food (bearing in mind he was only about 4 months old at this point) and some really tatty toys.

I asked if he’d had his jabs. At the age he was, we would have expected him to have had the minimum. She assured us that this was the case and gave us the name of her vets so that we could transfer ownership and get his records. Sadly when we rang the vets, they had no record of him. To be safe we booked him straight in at our vets and got him both his boosters and most importantly got him chipped. He was now fully ours!
